Living in the high desert, I find the best time of year to go to the desert is in the winter, when all of the plants are hardied for the winter. On a winter desert hike, I found myself so enamored with the soft yellow tones of the flowers creating the landscape.
This piece is particularly special to me as it was one of the first paintings I had done that wasn't from a tutorial, but from my own artistic perspective and creation.
